Did You Know......

Years ago I had a home with a hot water circulating pump.  Every few years I had to replace it and was expensive.   Back in the 60s, our family moved from Los Alamos, NM down to the valley near the Rio Grand River.  We had a few aces and did some farming plus we built our own house.  We all learned everything about constructing a home.  A friend of the family who was a plumber, told my Dad about a little trick.  From the hot water heater, you run a 1/2" copper line (now a PEX-Cross-Linked Polyethylene) to the farthest sink and shower in the house and connect it to the hot water line.  What happens?  Instant hot water anywhere in the house!  Pretty much need to do that during construction.
